A man was killed Wednesday when the vehicle he was driving struck a tree on Gorman Road, in North Laurel.

The driver, Kevin Michael Aldridge, 37, of the 3300 block of Old Line Avenue, was driving a Volkswagen Jetta east on Gorman Road, east of Murray Hill Road, at about 9 p.m. when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway at a curve and struck a tree, Howard County Police announced Thursday.

Aldridge was transported to Greater Laurel Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Police are still investigating the accident.

In the Forrestville area of prince georges county 1 teen was killed and several others injured in a 2 car crash. The teens were in a honda accord when it ran a red light at Pennsylvania avenue and forrestville road. a mazda sub hit the car. the mazda is presumed not to be at fault. the police are investigating.

at or near the 1700 block of Great falls road in McLean tuesday night a minivan and a sedan crashed. the police are investigating who is at fault. we know the infant was not hurt but perhaps the childs mom suffered life threatening injuries.
